114 females aged 45-65 years were given 2.5 g/day of VERISOL collagen peptides or a placebo over 8 weeks. The women taking VERISOL experienced a 20% reduction in eye wrinkle volume compared with the placebo group. They also had an increase in procollagen type 1 and elastin.
*Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a glycosaminoglycan with a unique capacity to bind and retain water molecules. A study on adults aged 22-59 years showed that HA supplementation benefited the skin compared with a placebo.
